Maintenance Week

Mid Summer Maintenance - Week commencing July 11th 2016

The greens will be aerated with 8mm diameter solid tines to a depth of 100mm before being over-seeded with a bent/fescue seed mix and finally top dressed with sand.

We plan to apply approximately 20/25 tonnes of top dressing sand to the putting surfaces.

The main purpose of this maintenance operation is to target and further dilute the organic matter in the top 20-40mm of the greens surfaces.

Although the planned aeration will only cause minimal disturbance to the putting surfaces, there will be some disruption to play during the week whilst this work is being carried out.

Provided weather conditions remain favourable we would expect recovery to the putting surfaces in 7/10 days.
